Mr. Xin Yu Li, the principal of "New Universe Entertainment Academy", started his professional dance and music training at a very young age at the prestigious Central National University in China where he double majored in both dance and music. After graduating from the University, Mr. Li joined a top ranking art company, the Central National Dance Troupe, as a principal dancer. During his years with the troupe, he performed over a thousand large and mid scaled shows in more than 30 countries including countries such as England, Japan, Korea, and Italy. He has been warmly received by China's leaders such as Ze Min Jiang, Jin Tao Hu, Shi Chiao, Rong Ji Zhu, and Rei Huan Li, and has won many big awards in national dance contests. In both 1994 and 1998, he visited Taiwan and performed a golden award piece- "The Little River" with the famous "Peacock Princess Li-Ping Yang" and "Mongolian Singing King Ge Er Teng". This coordinated performance was very highly acclaimed. Mr. Li has accumulated an abundance of stage experience from being a choreographer and stage manager for large scaled performances, a judge for American Chinese Dance Association and an outstanding dancer with high achievements as well. He was the choreographer and the stage designer for famous singers' big concerts such as Xue-You Chang's in Hong-Kong in 1995, Fu-Cheng Guo's in Beijing in 1996, Yu Chin Fei’s on Mother's Day in Las Vegas in 2002 and North American Chinese New Year's joint night show in 2006. In 1998, Mr. Li traveled to Tokyo, Japan to further continue his studies in music composition and production. He grasps various types and styles of music. He has composed more than 300 music pieces and songs. 'Say it, then do it!' was listed as the 2nd most favorite song by the well known Beijing Music Station. The Central People's Broadcasting Station made a special interview featuring him during its music program. He was also interviewed many times on American mainstreamed TV station-Channel 18, and on 2 broadcasting stations-AM 1430 and 1300. To reach the next destination of his goal in life, Mr. Li came to the United States in 2000, and continued his career as a choreographer, composer and a dance teacher. He also founded the 'New Universe Entertainment Academy' in 2004. His current music work shows he has knowledge of various types such as R & B, Rock, Rap, Electronic, Classical and so forth. The dances he choreographed include the folk dance such as "Autumn Water and Beautiful Ladies", "Ching Dynasty Palace Dance", "The Green Land Love", "Entering Into Tibet" and "The Sun in the Prairie" In both 2004 and 2005, he successfully presented in Los Angeles, California, his best personal dance and music show -- "New Cosmic Dance and Music". The tickets were sold out and Mr. Li received many good compliments. On December 24, 2008, New Universe Entertainment Academy performed a Tibetan dance named “Enter into Tibet” from a choreographer, Xin Yu Li, in the 49th Holiday Celebration at the Los Angeles Downtown Music Center which was broadcast at KCET channel. It was our pleasure and honor to perform in the 49th Holiday Celebration not only because of being selected from more than two hundred groups but also as one of the representative to prompt Chinese culture. “Enter Into Tibet” was performed and well received in the world renowned Kodak Theater where Hollywood's Oscar award was held. Mr. Li diligently teaches with distinctive ingenuity and creativity. His work reveals not only the ethnic life of Chinese minorities, but also his exceptional insight in Chinese folk art. He produces contemporary folk dance work by integrating elements of pure folk dance music with his rich knowledge and understanding in music.
